I for one am sad that such a great career came to an end. But it had to sometime. I was seriously hoping Favre would end up in Minnesota this year. I’d have been their biggest fan hoping for a 99-3 thrashing of the Packers and their INEPT coaching/management group.

Something happened already this year that never did last year. Brett filed his retirement papers allowing the Jets to put him on reserve retired status thus removing his salary from their cap room. It’s over boys. Go ahead and bash Favre all ya want. But until another 18 year QB emerges holding the records Favre has anything said against him is completely irrelevant.

I ran the old #4 jersey up the flag pole today, maybe shoot off some firework tonight in his honor, just wish he would have kept his word last year and retired from the Packers. Left a sour taste in my mouth.

Brett had a great career. It was time for him to walk away. The sad thing about this is that after all those years and everything he did for Green Bay, Thompson felt it was his right to screw Brett over and prevent him from attaining the last thing he wanted in his career…….

to retire as a Minnesota Viking!! b]

Oh, the Viqueens would run him out of town on a rail after his first bad game. I can hear KQRS now–they still talk about Denny Green. If the Vikings think that some guy at the end of his career with a torn bicep in his throwing arm and is tired, beat up and soap operaed out is their answer to obtaining the superbowl of their dreams–man, they got bigger problems that only a shovel to the head might solve.

    Sheesh, let the guy go.
