what is the best gps chip for pool 2. I cant seem to find any with real good depth readings :

You won’t really, and being a river you can’t rely on much more than the channel being accurate, all current chips should show you the wingdams though.
My navonics has some of depth infor for 2 and 4 I wouldn’t trust my lower unit to it. I know there are areas that are marked shallow on the chip that are not, these areas are just not mapped, and so they show shallow. Best they’ll do is give you a little heads up, maybe (and wing dams).
