Heck no. We just added two new Pro Staffers to our Ice Team… Joel Nelson and Chris Granrud. But as to the overall size of our pro staff… we keep it VERY small unlike other sites where anyone with a fishing pole is “pro staff.”

I think we’re at the same number of staffers this winter as we were last winter at this same time although I will say I don’t think we’ve ever had a better mix of staff with regards to talent and communication skills.

    Why do yo ask?

If you look after the names of the people posting fishing reports. You will still see Field Staff and Pro Staff under their names.

I know a lot of staff that hide or chose to not be visable while being online here at IDO.
    Each has there own reasons

Many, including me, have their accounts set to “invisible.” Some do it to stay out of trouble at work. Others, like me, want to hide the amount of time I spend here on the site. I don’t have a life outside of IDO. But people don’t need to know that.

As for numbers of “pro” staff… I didn’t go any count but I bet we have right around a dozen pro staff guys and 50+ field staff / field reporters.

I thought this might be the case but just figured I would ask.Besides that I have been trying to eliminate friends this week and so far it has been going pretty well

Potential staff members are recruited by IDO. Many have come from the ranks of those heavily involved with the site before being offered a pro staff position while others “off-site” were identified as having a skill set that would improve our organization.

On May 17, I’ll have been waiting for 8 years. I’m sure my invite was just lost in the mail. Please send again when you get time.

I have lots of fishing poles, and they still haven’t asked me.
Another question. Why is it we can put in our 2 cents worth and only get a penny for our thoughts ?

To me it does not matter what is presented by your name but what you have to present to others. I consider everyone a pro when they can answer a question for someone. Way to go guys.
