I choose a 7ft St Croix Med.Hvy Avid with a fast action. I like it enough to have 4 of them. I use them for flipping jigs, tubes, worms and even pulling Bass from slop. It truly is one of my favorite rods.

Late last season, I purchased a 7’11” “Big Gulp” flipping rod. I plan on really putting this rod through it’s paces this upcoming season. From what I saw last season when I fished with it, I really enjoyed it’s action, and for it’s size, it was fun to fish with.

    Good luck with your search.

If you have any questions regarding the St. Croix product line, don’t hesitate to contact Dean at Everts Resort. He’s answered a lot of my questions regarding their lineup.

They’re kind of hard to find, but the 7’6″ Falcon Expert is a nice all around flippin stick.

I use a 7’6” Daiwa Light and tough medium heavy, and that is exactly what it says, light and tough.
