To the Brainerd fishing tourney in about an hour. Wish me luck! And i do mean “LUCK”! High of 3, water on the ice, 10-15 mph winds………and my beer will freeze. I musta ate some bad pizza last night cause I ain’t thinking clearly!

Bring good imported beer, the higher alcohol content takes lower temps to freeze. Good luck, be safe!

Ahhh, Lets see. It looks like a big walleye took first place (I think it was close to 6 lbs.) I didn’t have a bite, my brother registered a small walleye but it didn’t quite make the cut, mom missed twice using a 4 inch chub and a few other misses from some of our crew. We all had fun and managed to not freeze. Actually, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, until i got home of course. I had the chills for a few hours after getting home and then realized that I was sick! (and not from beer cause I didn’t have any).
Overall it was fun, and a family tradition that I’m sure will continue next year.
