Does anyone know what the requirements are to crossing the border into Canada and then back into Minnesota this summer. I have heard that we are now going to need a passport?!?

I do believe, by air, you need a passport. By land or sea, I want to say after June of this summer, you need a passport, until then a Government issued ID and birth cert.

January 23, 2009 at 9:34 pm #740816They have been postponing the requirement of a passport for a while. I wouldn’t take a chance since time is still on your side. Get your passport and there will be no issue if they do enforce the requirement. When I fished Erie in Sept. a driver li and certified birth certificate was required.
