Electronics, baitfish keys to late-fall crappie

    Yesterday in Iowa on a clear water lake I Located with my x85 & fished schools of suspended Crappie with just my home made black & white jigs and managed 20 keepers. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve used Minnows in the last 20 yrs. Today the temp will be around 60 degrees & sunny, they actually should be going pretty good. I’m going to take a few minnows with me & check out the difference. Yesterday I was on the water 3 hrs. Today probably 5hrs.
    I must confess I’ve had no luck fishing jigs alone through the ice, so may be surprised today.
    Keep the articles coming “Jolly” & just remember, even if I don’t catch any thing, a day on the water beats a day at work hands down
