What is the SAFEST and LEAST expensive site to download music from? To use on a mp3 player.

I’ve used Limewire in the past, but I don’t know if I trust it. I’m willing to pay for it, to guarantee the files are not laced with “stuff”

    THANKS!

I use amazon. After trying several other 2nd rate sites…looking for the best price, searching for all the music in one place. It wasn’t worth it in the end! Switched over to amazon, they had every song/album we wanted, well except Kid Rock.

    Amazon is easy to use.

I use legalsounds.com because it’s real cheap (about $.09 a song) and I don’t have to worry about anything. Plus, they have just about everything I’m after. There have been a couple things they didn’t have, but for the most part, I’ve had excellent success with their site. I don’t use their downloader either; I just right click the song and put it in a file on my computer instead of using their software. Works great.

i think itunes is your best bet. especially if you are looking for music thats not as mainstream. i heard their pricing system was getting an overhaul, but i cant say ive seen it yet.

if you want a p2p shareware version (the proposed illegal ones) you can try limewire or frostwire, limewire’s somewhat faster spinoff.

just stay away from morpheus, kazaa, and that new version of napster… they are all heavily monitored and completely loaded with viral files.
