I’m waiting for the river to freeze, so I’m twiddling my thumbs trying to pass the time, so I’ll ask what was your biggest fish last year by species?

    I’ll start (don’t laugh)

    Muskie- about twenty inches
    Northern- 37 inches
    LM Bass- 22 inches
    SM Bass- 19.5 inches
    White Bass- 16 inches
    Crappie- 14 inches
    Walleye- 26.5 inches
Lake Trout- 30 to 31 inches?
    Dog Fish- about 7 pounds
gar- about 40 inches long, about 6 pounds!
    Sheep-BIG!

I can’t really think of any other species right now, I’ll just sit back and watch, this should be interesting!

    Good question:

    Walleye 26.5″
    Pike 37″
    Crappie 10″
    Perch 10″
    Sunny 8″
    Muskie
    White bass 10″
    Bucket mouth 19″
    Smallie 17″
    Drum 10″
    Catfish 17″

Those are the only species I’ve hooked so far this year.

My biggest walleye of the year was 29.5″. Any other species that came over the side of my boat was purely accidental.

Jake? Do you have any pictures of yourself on this site? I have this Kewl editing tool…..

Fight? I actually had to hang up the phone to bring this babe in! I got goose bumps! And I owe it all to Stillakid. He told me I needed to stay away from jigs(?)!

Gator, 29.5 inches, whew! Was that this fall or spring? If I would see one that size next to my boat I would have “other” issues…than goose bumps!
Did you put up a post when you caught her? I’d like to see the details.

I caught the big girl on April 25th prefishing for a Mtt tourney in Red Wing. She hit on a pro blue ring worm on a knuckleball jig tossed onto a rip rap shoreline. I don’t have any pictures of her because we were trying to be discreet as there was another boat on the same shoreline. I didn’t know whether to be happy to get her or mad that I didn’t get her the next day in the tourney.
During the Anglers as Role Models big brothers and sisters get together the girl I took out caught her first walleye ever. It was a 29″er. I don’t recall the weight right off hand. It was a beautiful fish. She was only 8 years old and pulled it in all by herself. Her father took it home to mount. I think that one was heavier than my 29.5.

I can’t recall the size of the walleyes I caught but I’m sure they were massive.

30″ Walleye?!! I would give a lot to get a 30 inch walleye, and if she’s reading this, I promise I’ll release you, as long as you consent to a few naked photographs.

Year started out a little slow, but had a terrific year:

    Largemouth- 24 1/2 inches, 9 1/2 pounds
    Smallie – 6 from 19-20 inches, 2-over 20 inches
    Walleye – 27 inches
    Sauger – 22 1/2 inches, 4.3 pounds
all released, have some great pictures and memories, and the year isn’t over yet.
    Jack…
