G just an FYI if this is the first year you have applied you probably will not get drawn this year. You earn preference points each year you apply so it is important that you apply each year to keep earning points.

You up your odds if you apply for a later season.

I would encourage you guys to come down here if you really wanna hunt turkeys. We have more of them in this state than we know what to do with. You wouldn’t believe how many of em I see when I go out fishing. Here’s some of the reg info from this last year:

Archery Oct. 1 – Nov. 14 and Nov. 24 – Dec. 31
Shotgun Oct. 11 – Nov. 14 and Nov. 24 – Dec. 31
2 turkeys per permit

I have heard that too Steve…still, can’t I get a bow license over the counter ??? I thought I could, so if I can’t, then maybe it will be next year…

Yup, we sure do have a spring season as well. I forgot to include those in the last post.

Archery March 25 – May 18
Shotgun April 12 – May 18
Youth Archery March 25 – May 18
Youth Shotgun April 5 – May 18
One male or bearded
female turkey

Here’s a link that’ll show some more info for you guys. Keep in mind these are 08 regs, but I bet you’ll still be able to get 3 this year too.
