Just a friendly remminder to all the F&^@ stupid and careless idiots in this world who are out using are natural resources for there own garbage can. I have had with looking at at the garbage like pop/beer cans, snack bags, pop bottles etc that people leave on the ice and in duck blinds. If I ever catch anyone doing this the local warden will be called along with the police. This is a disgrace to us as outdoors people and I hope you dont consider your self the same because you are not. I bet this year alone I could have taken several garbage bags of stuff off the ice alone that people have left. I wont even go into duck blinds. I guess this brings me back to my first question WHY?

I know this guy…his grandfather does just that. When other see the fella picking up trash, they all jump in and help.

Still doesn’t answer the question though…does it.

It just makes me sick to my stomach when I see it. The worst part is when I have clients I feel so bad that they have to see how some people treat this area and are resources..

This kind of carelessness really steams me up Not only do the jerks try to ruin our privelage to use the resource they have to stuff it in the holes to make sure nobody can clean up after them because thier mother wasnt around. LOSERS STAY OFF THE ICE AND LITTER UP YOUR OWN PIG PEN YOU CALL A HOUSE

By the way did I mention it takes quite a bit to get me On a side note If you are that ignorant and lazy and dont care about your privelage to use the resources please dont be such a that you stuff your trash in the hole so it freezes. I’m sure someone who gives a rats a** WILL pick it up.

    jjkrooked,

Buddy… those are some ugly photos. I don’t have an answer for the “why” question that started this thread but you have my sincere thanks if you picked all that up.

It is not going to take anymore space on the way off the ice then when they brought it on. I too don’t understand. All I can say is LAZY!

I pick it up when I find it, just walking past it doesn’t make me any better than the guy that through it down. Caught me a mess of cigarette buts on the ice Thursday and Saturday

I ask the same thing all the time……why

Just think what is under the Ice. Drunken slobs!!!!
After watching a great video taken on pool 4 by fellow member I was overjoyed by not seeing a bunch of trash down on the bottom of river.
They think they are untouchable. Little do they know. that the quit guy next door is going to turn them in and reward them for their bull—- behavior. When this happens hopfully they are over their limit and in a vehicle with just enough liquer in them that they get a ride down town.

It’s not just on the ice, go to the parks or anywhere people just don’t have any respect for others. Here’s a good example, a lady has two dogs she walks and uses the kids playground at Roosevelt as her pown personal dog park. Can you imagine the kids playing in her dogs crap? Don’t get me started. What I do is I approach the kids, they’re our only hope, and I pick up setting an example.

I was happy to see none in the area I was fishing on the croix last night! Unfortunately Those pics make it obvious that it was not carelessness. I hate to admit to it but last night I left some of m lunch out there I have a bit of the flu and think the propane got to me.

Back to the garbage. I used to pick it all up by the power plant but the next day there would be much there again and I got worn out.

Had a neighbor that did this and after the 2×2 pile of wet dog crap on her door step she got the hint and now picks up after her dog

It is my experience, with people that do irresponsible things like this, that they are trying to fulfill a need of some sort. I’m not sure what it is. It could be superiority, greed, sloth, or the thought that they are irritating someone else. Whatever it is, it is sad. I really feel for people that egregiously spoil things for others; especially in mother nature. But, it continues to give me a chance to do the right thing; clean up. It makes me feel good and that in itself fulfills my need. I was up in Douglas Cty. fishing last week and picked up 13 empties and a pack of smokes. At least one was still full

You wonder what kind of mentality it takes to be so thoughtless – or is it just brain dead?
If you want to see something even more sickening try volunteering for a local “river cleanup” day. My son and I have done it several times and it is just sickening what you find when you go out looking for it. Then you go back to shore to put it all in the dumpster and you see all that others have collected and that really my – – – the volume of trash. And you know the people you see doing it – it’s not age specific either, young and old and in between.

maybe we need an updated version of this commercial now…. but in this case the indian tears up.. then gets mad and jams the offenders head down the hole in the ice so he can “bob for apples” and clean up his mess….
anyway for me this one said it all back then I loved nature then and I still do.. and I dont like to view it as a dump….

My sincere thoughts cannot be posted on this site. I too encountered this last week. The pure selfishness of such a person is difficult to grasp.
