Sad day in Central MN prayers needed

I just returned from probably the toughest funeral I’ve ever attended. It was for little 2 yr 9 month old Owen Magnuson of Sartell, MN who died in his home 12/30 and was laid to rest today 1/3/09. The parents are our friends and Owen went to daycare with my three young kids so there are alot of heavy hearts here today. The prayers are most important right now but I also wanted to advise all parents with young children to keep all window blind cords up and out of the possible reach of these young children who are innocently playing and can become entangled leading them to being strangled. It only took a few minutes (a quick shower) and this great family and community loses a beautiful child. Thanks for the prayers and give your kids an extra hug from now on and tell them you love them always. Owen’s parents are two of the best parents and people you can imagine so it can happen to any family.

I have only attended one funeral of a young child. I hope I never have to do it again. Top of the list of the worst days anyone can imagine.

Thanks guys. One of the toughest days for sure and I’ve been in some situations before. I just pray for the family and the community support has been great. I just hope readers take a minute to check there house to prevent such an innocent accident.

I have to attend a young child funeral and for those who don’t know, it was my little daughter. I know how hard it is and how it helped us heal knowing that there where others out there praying for us. the only advice I can offer them is that Jesus is up there holding that little precious child tight in his arms. Be sure that they know that they will get to see the child again. I pray for a hand of healing around thier family and friends in this time of trajedy.

    God Bless.

Almost 31 years ago we lost our first son, you don’t know how painful loosing a child is until it happens to you. The pain is always there and some days are worse than others. I want to thank God I have friends that gave us all the support in the world.

I now want to thank God that Owens parents have the support that they have and friends like T Ellis. I pray their pain subsides.

Sorry about your friends loss. Any death is hard, but it is especially hard when it is a child. My thoughts and prayers for God’s comfort, strength, and peace go out to you and your friends.

I really appreciate that, but that was 7 years ago, it is still painfull. I always try to help others that are new to the loss, to let them know that there is hope, your life will continue to move forward and it is family and friends that will make the days get easier and easier. I am very sorry to hear about thier loss, if they ever need to talk, I would be more than happy to talk with them about it.

it is a test of faith, and my friends help to keep my faith strong starting with my best friend, my wife.

    God Bless.
