    I’ve noticed the same thing.

Maybe standing in line for Viking tickets.

I think that we are in one of our seasonal lulls as well.
Open water is long gone (other than the river), hard water has just become safe for most vehicle travel and hunting seasons are all about over.
I think that this is the majical weekend when the hard water season gets going in earnest.
Throw out a couple of topics, maybe we are all just sitting here waiting to indulge ourselves.
    Good luck
    cheers

No, the activity level here is definitely heading downhill. Why? Who knows, but it is clearly evident

Seems to be a lot of activity on the Viking thread!

I remember the “early years” of FTR when there was only a post or two per day and sometimes not even that.At some point, many of the folks that just were lurkers turned into active posters.I sure am gratefull that some of the lurkers jumped on-board and started posting, several of those folks have become some of my best [bakers],I mean freinds.

    …always getting a plug in for cookies..ect.

Is the walk way salted up to camper #9 yet?

My two friends are fishing or working…or both..and haven’t been on line much over the holiday’s.

My Favorite Father In Law spent his New Years Day in the hospital…so that kind of curtailed my planned fishing trip. Sounds like he’s coming home tonight. So if I get the place cleaned up a LOT…I could see some ice Saturday…if I’m good tonight!

    Really?

There were 10,000 posts last month here on the fishing site alone and the number of visits per months for December were above our last season’s same month total by 20%.

People see what they want to see I guess. Thankfully the stats show otherwise.

    Right on regarding the cookies!

Yes,been pretty quiet and business is absolutely weather dependant. But much like my farm days growing up,there is always work to be done here.Chipping ice off the ramps isnt too glamorous but somebody has gotta do it! Fortuneatly,a few tackle and or rod orders trickle in to keep things going. Where in the heck is our global warming.

    ooppps, my bad

You can throw all the numbers you want, but it still does not look like near the activity there used to be. More than a few people have noticed it as well. But, if you say the site is going way better than before, congrats

I have noticed a few Mille Lacs posters missing…. Seems like we used to get a report from the big pond, just about every other day…. I agree, post and view numbers may be up, but fishing reports, I would say are way

Ya, you’ll see little lulls like this during the winter, I’ve noticed. But, like James said, you’re still seeing a good amount of people on here posting. Seems like all I can do to keep up.

Since I got my new laptop a couple months ago, I’ve been on here MORE. Mostly because now I can sit here in my chair, watch tv, AND be online. Tends to lead to more posting, surfing, and the like!

I know a large portion of the Staff have been off work, and fishing and hunting fools. Expect some timely reports here soon. I know Jami Ritter has one coming up here for the Croix.

Good question. I’m sure if we part his out we’re down to 6,500 or so. And a whole bunch of those are from guys replying to BK’s posts telling him he’s one unique duck.
