Seems riveratt must go to all the games…. that or he isn’t committed. Can’t have it both ways.

Taking it rather personal huh G. Must be left over from the poaching thread. I’ve moved on.

I never said I go to all the games and never implied a fan must go to all the games, but go ahead and think what you want. In the mean time I’ll simply point out the obvious. For years there have been approximately 1 MILLION fans per week filling NFL stadiums during the regular season. Some teams have struggled over the years to fill seats but by and far winning teams do not. Play off teams have never, to my memory, struggled to fill seats. Economy or lackluster fans? We’ll see as the rest of the play offs play out. The seats don’t get any cheaper in the play offs and certainly not in the Super Bowl. Yet I doubt we’ll have any other threats of blacked out games this season.

Three million people in the twin cities alone and they can’t get 60,000 to go to a game? There is another NFL team to the east of there with a little over 100,000 people in the city and they continue to sell 70 plus thousand seats even when the team stinks. Has to be the economy.

Poaching thread… do you have a memory like an elephant ??? I remember the thread, but cannot recall what was said ??? I just think its pretty petty, for a guy whos team did not make the playoffs, can only point out that the game needed 2 extensions to sell out…. you call it lack of commitment, I call it, I don’t care one way or the other, my life will go on and be just fine without sitting in a plastic seat to watch the game or god forbid, have it blacked out and have to go out into the shop, crank up the heat and listen to it on the radio, which I do alot. Seems you just like to beat a subject to death, and when someone tries to kill it, you get personal, then say the other person is taking it personal ???? I will be a Viking fan, not a Bear fan that loves the Packers ????? Who gets that ???? Thats it for now, fumble recovery.

You are most right G. My apologies. I realize now that if the seats were in the other stadium{s} unfilled there would have been no mention of it here.

How soon until Jared Allen morphs into a tractor and just completely flattens McNugget?

One word… Westbrook…. After seeing these 2 playoff teams, if they play anyone else like this, I am beginning to think either will be 1 and done….

It doesn’t look good for the Vikes right now and too bad. I’ve never felt disappointed by a Viking loss and am not sure how to deal with it. I’m sure many can chime in though, lol.

One thing is very apparent. The Packers were in no way shape or form on par with any of the Wild Card teams this year. The Indy/Charger game was a showcase of talent and I honestly can’t say the Vikes and Eagles are a whole lot less today. I doubt the Packers would be qualified to clean these guys jock straps this year! The Bears had the defense most days but too little offense to go with it.

I sure wish the offensive game plan was a little better for the Vikes today. They were competitive all game for the most part but I feel the running game is under utilized.

I think the Vikings fans just got caught at the wrong time. The Vikes have great fans, they just had nothing to get excited about for nearly a decade.
Add in the economy, the fact that it’s just after X-mas and the money’s all spent, that the Vikes asked the season ticket holders they had to pony up renewal money now for playoff tickets, the fact that we fumbled 7 times against the Falcons and barely beat the Giants scrubs, plus we have two Pro Bowl caliber DT’s that are likely to start the next season on the DQ’d list, and you have a perfect storm. Add in 4 superbowl losses and a handful of NFC championship game losses and I don’t blame people one bit for holding off on buying tickets this year.

It’s easy now being a Packer fan and deservedly so, you’re coming off 15 years of arguably the best QB in the game who delivered 1 superbowl win and 1 loss, plus many division titles. You have a consistent ownership group, a nice outdoor stadium and a history of recent success.

Let’s see how the Packer fans do now that BF era is over and they perhaps return to the days of the Packers of the 70’s and early 80’s. Let’s see if they buy playoff tickets after they’ve been burned a few times. It may or may not happen, but the two situations are not comparable.
