New to the area for ice fishing and wondering if lake zumbro is safe to go out and look for some gills yet, looking to go out over the 1st. if so any one been out and how’s it been?? thanks for the wisdom!! 
People are driving all over it from both landings.

I’ll add that the Fishermans landing is the best to use right now. The landings to the north have had some water issues. Also, the ice is rutted very bad where people drove during the thaw. MOST areas are showing 12 inches, but that is not a universal thickness….there are spring boils on the lake that will keep ice dangerously thin right out in themiddle of nowhere and these springs will migrate year to year. Last night’s chill should have had the lake popping with new ice, but this is one lake that is not short on surprizes. Be careful.
