The grill is 35″ long and 16″ wide. I’m guessing you could cook between 2 to 3 dozen at a time. Maybe more, I’ve never filled it at one time.

    We have a grill !!

A Huge IDO thank you to Ederd !!!

    Dave….
    Is this a drivable area?
If not, how far of a walk?
Or is a wheeler a good idea?

I just asked the same question VIA PM and the response was that there will be people that volunteered to haul us wheeler or sled deficient people out to the spot and that more details will be posted here so keep checking back

there is plenty of ice to drive wheelers or sleds out to any of the places on the Ambro…In years past there has always been some volunteers to help with transportation to where ever we fished…

At most it could be a 10/15 minute ride on a 3-wheeler(that’s what I have).

There should be several of us there that will assist in directions and help try to line up rides…If you have some sort of transportation and you have an open spot…all help is appreciated !!

Looks like the Snosuit will come in handy

Looks like a possible stable pattern leading into Saturday. Hope the 25 degrees holds true

Either way,it sounds like ice conditions wont be a problem with negative zero temps predicted for most of next week.

I’ll be in PDC Friday around 5 or 6 for dinner if any guys want to meet for dinner and talk fishing over drinks, I’m buying first round.

I’ll be arriving on friday for the pre-GTG festivities.

Don’t worry about the walk. I’ll be bringing along a couple snowmobiles to haul people out to the fishing area. The plan will be to make trips back and forth from the landing out to the fishing area for the first couple hours of the morning when the bulk of the people are likely to arrive. After the first couple hours we’ll check in regularly to see if there’s any latecomers OR you can call me on my cell at 507-271-0362 to request a pick up at any time.

I’ll be there Friday. Looking to start just like couple years ago. I remember starting at Mulligans and leaving there after 10:00 or 11:00 then back to the basement at the motel for prefishing talk and drinks until 1:00AM then up at 5:00AM James, I think I’ll copy down that phone number for a latecomer pick up

Will be my first time to miss the ice GTG in PDC. I will surely be thinking of all of you having all that fun without me.
Ohhhhh by the way Jim puts on a really good show when he gets behind an ice scratcher with ice skates
Sorry Herb to disappoint you. But you won’t have to go fishing for anything but fish this year
Have fun everyone!!! Thats what it’s all about. And stay safe.

If you need a ride and make the call to get a ride…make sure to let us know which landing your at…I will make a new post this weekend with all the details…cross your fingers for good weather

Dave are these the two areas you are talking about? I did a search for Ambro area and Ambrough Slough was the closest match I could find. I added the coordinance to both of the access areas in case my map may be miss marked.

    Ambrough Slough north N43 06.544 W91 09.172

    Ambrough Slough south N43 06.131 W91 09.561

    \\I might as well add a picture//

    Thanks Richard

My room is booked!!! The wife and I will be there sometime Friday around noon or so. Looking forward to meeting a few new faces and seeing a few old ones too.

I might bring my three wheeler if I have room. Wanna race Dave??

Do I need to have my portable lisenced in Wisconsin?? The wife and I will get 3 day fishing permits when we get to town and my wheeler is lisenced for Minnesota. Is there anything I’m forgetting???
