Noticed BFN add at top of page. Except for the shock of seeing that same face on the package everytime I grabbed a couple of packages from Captain Hook’s in Genoa and tried them this fall for some of my shallow bass, they actually replaced tubes in a couple of locations and had solid results and a noticeable difference in size of average bass caught. White/yellow.&something combo and watermelon seedy(not exact color) green worked best.

    [My Face]

    Sorry about that… lol

Make sure you give those grubs a try on the walleye down there early and late in the day, on wingies, up on sand…. along rip rap. The big girls love ’em. Thanks for the feed-back regarding the bass applications.

James are you saying the big girls love your pic?
Or that the fish love your bait?

    Oh behave!

The “big girls” I was refering to like, um, large baits like the 5″ K-grubs.

There was one night out on Pool 2 a few weeks ago when I had a strange occurence. I was going through my tub of K-Grubs, when I happened to notice something floating 6-8″ below the surface off the bow. All I could really see was this face staring up at me. It was James, on a disposed K-Grub carboard label. I take off all those carboard things, so I knew it wasn’t mine. Strange…. considering the fact that I was looking for a certain color K-Grub at the time.

Then I heard some sticks breaking in the woods. Could it have been James lurking?

    LOL

Uh… not me. It think it was DeeZee. He’s been known to hide in the shadows and watch others fish from time to time.

Littering is bad enough without my ugly mug on the wrapper!

Just got my hands on my tackle box and to be more precise the color that worked best is white belly/yellow top/purple-green but and clear tail with green glitter.
I DON’T EVEN WANT TO GUESS HOW THIS COLOR COMBO WAS DECIDED ON, BUT HEY IT WORKS.

And that color is Acid Rain Junebug. Ugly as a mud fence but a good color regardless.

Some lures catch fisherman. I prefer to use the ones that actually catch fish! But that one is one of those that gets overlooked by most everyone… I think the 3 contrasting colors of the body make it a real good pattern in low light conditions.
