The fight takes place Sat night in Las Vegas. Here’s what I think: the pretty boy, I mean golden boy, is going down in a heap. I think he cares too much more about all his other things he has going on rather than boxing, and I don’t think he’s the better fighter either. What do you guys think?

Seriously though, I just wish I could have watched it instead of working last night. From what I’ve heard thus far, it was a real beat down that De La Hoya wasn’t even prepared for. PacMan (the real one!) has fought as low as 105lbs I think they said, so he was really going up in this one, and Hoya was going down in weight, and he still got destroyed. Might have to go see if I can find some highlights somewhere.
Boxing sure isn’t what it once was, but I still like to follow it. The days of watching an Marvelous Marvin Hagler, Holmes and Spinks fight on free network tv when I was a kid are long gone, but they sure are some good memories. If only the boxing world hadn’t been destroyed by certain people.
