Hey guys I am booking a ice sleeper trip to Mille Lacs in Jan. I’m looking at Brandt’s sleepers. Just want to know if any of you have ever booked with them and what’s your opinoin?

Not sure what Brandts have for sleepers these days but McQuoids,Macs Twin Bay,Hunters and Fishermans Wharf have some of the best sleepers on the lake. There are also some real bad ones on the lake but I wont mention any names. Most places have web sites and pics available.

I stayed in one of their sleepers a couple years ago and I was not at all impressed with the place. The shack was very drafty and just plain shabby.

On a good note they did have it on fish. We did pretty well that weekend.

Red Door has nice sleeper, my opinion, and when we stayed there last year it was the only time I caught walleyes during the ice season.

the wharf doesnt move their sleepers ever. They are all in a line next to the generator house. Stayed in one last year and never even seen a walleye on the camera.

I think you will be pleased with the Red Door if you want to fish the north side of the lake. If you are intersted in the south side of the lake, KJ’s has nice new houses that they move to put over fish.
