First your going to need a different net, the one in the picture is for a “different” sport 
I grew up skating on a backyard rink and it was awesome being able to skate anytime you wanted. I spent may of nights pounding slapshots into plywood. I can’t imagine how much time and energy went into maintaining it for us kids. Keep up the good work
