Oven Roasted Turkey recipe?

    I have 2 turkeys in the freezer and another from work today..I have 1 thawed out and plan to be fishing/hunting all weekend and wanna have some snadwhich meat ect. so plan to roast one in the oven…what does everyone use your oven temp or recipe….saw some oven bags as well never tried one of them any ideas? i usually smoke them but don’t have the time to this week.

    Look for Chef Alton Brown’s turkey recipe it is fast and it rocks.

    If roasting, then a brine recipe is what I would go with. I go the fried way 100% of the time. Only 45 min per bird, what is quicker than that?

    Turkey fryers are the #1 cause of house fires in WI. In Minnesota it is Vikings games!

    Big E, go to the store and buy a cheap injector. You can inject them with melted garlic butter, onion powder and butter, did I mention butter???

    Cook it in the bag at 350 for about 3-3.5 hours if it is a medium sizer. Half way through, inject more butter into the breasts and thighs. You won’t believe the taste!

    AND, you can bring some samiches for me and Ritter the day after Thanksgiving for the River!

    the recipe is at home but i will post it up…..it is a pretty simple recipe though to use.
