Does anyone know the weight of a 1995 Johnson 25hp motor, short shaft? Do you know the kilowatt output, and is the peak at 5000rpm? Thanks in advance.

    BlackDuck,

You might be able to find the answer at Outdoor Repairs – Johnson Page here.

Johnson is a darn good motor. My father and I have a 1973 50hp on the older Lund and it’s still going strong.

    Good luck!

Weight should be around 117 lbs. I’ve had 3 of them in the past and Nate has had 2 of them. Good motors. Don’t know the answers to the other questions though. Sorry. Thanks, Bill

ps. If you went to their website or pick up a pamphlet at a dealer it might give you the answers you are looking for.

WOW!!! Just clicked on the link mentioned in a reply above and that site is Info Super. It should have about any answer that anyone could have. Thanks for sharing it. With 2 Johnson Outboards on back of my boat you can bet that link is on my favorites list. Thanks, Bill

Bill, it is a great site, but I see I wrote “outdoor repair” instead of “outboard repair” Always have the outdoors on my mind.

    The correct website is http://www.outboardrepairs.com.

TONS of info! Glad you could add it to your favorites Bill. Hope it helps.

I know this is late, but thanks guys. Found what I needed. I am trying to get a bigger motor for my 14′ flatbottom Duck Boat. I now have a boat for fishing and hunting, and with the duck boat loaded down I would like to sneak some more horsepower on the back without adding too much weight. I know the boat is rated for up to 25hp, but trying to push it a bit. With the blind, a partner and a dog on a windy day it’s tough to get it up on plain.
