I am finally going to take my family on vacation to a lake just north of Grand Rapids MN. It’s about 9hrs one way nonstop. Having a 3 year old means we may split the driving into two days. The half way point puts me about in Minneapolis or surrounding areas. Any ideas or recommendations on what to do with my boat and everything I will be packing into it if I overnight somewhere? Are there hotels that have fenced off areas for boat storage? Or should I try to find a cabin on a lake along the way? We will be traveling north on I35 and don’t want to get too off track. Or should I give the kid some “cough syrup”, turn up the radio, and drive it all the way through?
