Well I have a small issues with my boat and was wondering what I might learn from posting this:
I have a 1997 50 hp 4 stroke merc (Tiller) and recently put a t-8 kicker on the back of my boat to get the slow trolling speeds. Well with that added weight I am now have a really hard time planning out. I am currently using a 15 pitch stainless prop and do have about an inch more in diameter I could use if I increased the size of the prop, however I am wondering with increasing the diameter of the prop roughly and inch or less what pitch should a guy go with to help the hole shot? If I was not going to increase the diameter which I think I should anyways would it make sense just to experiment with a different pitch? Just curious what you input I will hear by asking this on here.
