I was wondering if the two states are similar. Planning a trip to the Redwing area in November. Probably will stay in Redwing this time. In the past I’ve stayed at Evert’s and purchased a Wisc. license. Will probably trailer over the bridge to Evert’s to put in. Where should I get my license?

Well I’d get the one from the state you are staying in, I don’t think it will matter too much, but it’s probably safest to get one from MN. (where you said you are going to stay)

If you are staying in Minnesota and plan on keeping even one fish, you must have a Mn license! Also, if you are using Everts to put in, you must use the most direct route back over to Minnesota when you leave.

Thanks for the info. I had heard guys say there was some issues up there that might be different than down where I live. Has anybody heard anymore about closing down quite a bit of distance from the dam. Maybe that was just rumers.
