NOT impressed with WIGWAM!

The 2008 sturgeon excursion was a blast, but it did not start out that way! We arrived friday to check in at wigwam, only to be told we had no place to stay. Apparently there was a water pipe break or something that couldnt be fixed in time for our party of 4 to stay. I can understand that things happen, however we could have been contacted prior to our arrival via phone, mail or this site. We told them we’d made these reservations months in advance and were disappointed with their lack of communication, but were told there was nothing that could be done, the wigwam was full. Two fellow IDA’ers offered us the extra room they had in their cabin, however only had room for 2 of us. We ended up staying at a resort close by and still went to the wigwam to talk with others up for the excursion, and every thing else went well, but we will not be staying at the wigwam anymore. I contacted them via this site, only to be told, “your free to stay elsewhere.”
