Heard on the grapevine last night that willowcats have been outlawed on the Mississippi River. Anybody heard that disturbing info. yet. Heard you can’t even collect them yourself and use them. Is this a Wisconsin, Iowa, Minn. or Fed law?

Stonecats are very rare and not the same thing as willow cats (madtom Catfish) which are very common.

Just fish them like you would any other minnow. They are not a magic bait but they are another tool in the arsenal.

Just hope you dont have some crazy guy in the boat that will stick one in your leg
Also hope you dont have a reaction to them. For some its worse than others. I no it can leave you in a world of hurt.

No I dont. You are off that resposability as well. Maybe thats why I caught all the fish that day was the little extra meat on the trebbels
