OK.. my pseudo blind worked a little today and I got a couple of better shots.. I had a bufflehead wonder just what in the quack is that? and he came right into me! too close to focus on even… the shot here is the last one where I got this little guy in the frame even… after that he just stayed close and stayed feeding.. then I had about a dozen hoodies come in.. they really didnt like me at all… and just stayed away.. this is probably the closest shot.. I had to crop it in a ways to get it this good…. then I got some other weird merganser.. not really sure what.. its not a common or a hooded…
weird thing is I got a cell phone call while out there and that strange tune kind of attracted teh hoodies a little.. think I will take my new caller setup out there next time… it just might work.. an ipod with a speaker and calls from a bunch of different birds… including the dux
