trolling motor bracket

has anyone had any experience in using a trolling motor bracket (fulton,garelick etc.) i dont particulary want to use one but it looks like if i want to use my panther electro steer i will need to move the kicker out from the transom to get enough room to mount the steering controls.. any infomation on this would be welcome….thanks charlie
