    The float at Linksville was schedulled to open the 21st of this month. The Alma float has this phone number. 608 685 3474. They also have a web site called The Great Almo Float. Gene

    They opened the 21st I’m headed there in a couple of hours
    phone message said it was a slow opener at Alma but the Genoa float reported fish turned on sunday. Chippman

    When I have been on the float in the past, I have noticed a sign on the dam that says something about staying at least 300 feet away during a certain time of the year. Does anyone know what that is all about? Does it mean if you are in a boat? I like to fish from the rocky bank in front of the float some times but I don’t want to waste a trip over there if I am supposed to stay away.

    you are correct you have to be behind that sign until I believe the 1st of May but do not quote me there

    It is open–I was down on Saturday–very very slow though–water temps need to come up a bit yet–the snow was hard on the temps and the bite–could get better as the week goes on here

    i went down on tues morn only stayed until noon didnt get a bit seen some nice perch caught i think it is to early
