I’m looking for a good system to support my boat cover as I park it outside in the summer months. Multiple times last summer, I would return for the weekend and find water pooling Does anyone have experience with a system that acutally works? I figured if there’s a place to find the answer this is the best place to start.

I’m not sure if it matters, but the boat is a Alumacraft 185 TP tiller.

    Thanks for the insight

I have alumacraft 16′ and have a canvas cover in which I used the fiberglass flat bow system . They are EZ to install and take up NO room when not in use. Can be purchased at FleetFarm ,Gander and Cabelas and cost about$12-$18 each bow.
I have never had any water build up on mine since I installed the sysytem.
    Hope this helps

I made cover supports for my dads boat out of 3/8 plywood strips. I cut them a little longer than the boat is wide, then just slip the ends under the gunwale I think its called. Because they are long, they bow up. Stretch the cover over the top and done. He’s got an aluminum boat though, don’t know if it would be a good solution on a nice fiberglass boat. Or maybe small diameter pvc with a foam cap on the end?
