Crock Pot Timing Question

Okay so I love using our crock pots for various items and dinners, but the only option I have it to turn them on low at 7am (when I leave for work) and then they go until my wife gets home at 5:15. Does anyone know of a timer of sorts that can be plugged into the outlet and the crockpot plugged into that or anything like that? I am trying to avoid buying another crock pot but might need to try to find one with a timer if I can’t find an alternative solution.

I think you will want to get one with a timer. After it is cooked time you want it to, it will keep it warm. Other timers shut it off. We have 2 with timers now. Hardly ever use other ones anymore. Good luck

You can buy electric timers from Menard’s, WalMart or just about any hardware store.

Thanks for all the tips guys!

If you don’t mind me asking, what size of crock pots do you have with the timers?

Good question Wade. Another option is to start it up in the morning and leave a key for me to go shut it off when it is done cooking. I’d even make sure it is safe to eat.

I could actually use a timer like the one Brett posted to shut down my dehydrator when making jerky.

MENARDS they have a good selection(indoor or outdoor 1’s)

I use the one’s with the little slide in tabs.

Green one 4 start time. Red one 4 stop.
U can even have them start and stop more then once.

In the case of a slow cooker U can have it start after U leave and it B on when U get Home. HOT food and good 2 go.

    These type R around $5
Work great for lamps 2 if U r out off town
