First trip to Lake Vermillion. We will mostly target Walleyes and Northern. (will fish smallmouth and muskies but not as vigorously.)Strategicly, what part of the lake would you stay. What kind of populations of northern should I expect? And lastly, what are in the area for restaurants?
Thanks in advance for the help,
    Marv

Hey Marv, welcome to the site. I am assuming you aret alking about Virmillion up by Tower, MN. Great lake and one of my favorites. I would stay on the Tower end mainly because I belive it is better for the fish targets you want. There are many mid-lake rock humps that hold good walleye. I have also caught and saw more muskies on this end of the lake. My biggest ski to date came from Virmillion (47 1/2) on a jig/twister tail while fishing docks for bass. Bay View Lodge has great food and is a great place to stay. I am staying there in August for a week. There is also great eating at the Vermillion club which is need by.
    Hope this helps.

    Arnie
