Bridge collapse takes out electronic license hub location and MNDOT has yet to increase funding to allow for rebuild-Gov. won’t allow special session to discuss matter-we may fish at will until further notice…
Oh to be a Minnesotan….

How long is my 2007 fishing license good?
2007 fishing licenses are good until April 30, 2008
That is the only thing I could find.
February 7, 2008 at 9:16 pm #652869I emailed the DNR, its true. see below email.
Yes, it’s true the fishing licenses are now good for 14 months, April 30, 2008 is now the expiration. The law changed in the middle of the season, so the 2007 regulation books have the wrong expiration date. Trout stamps still expire on the last day of February.

Rumor has it, your current fishing license, for 2007, is good until April 30, 2008. Is this a fact ? Typically, they expire Feb 28th at Midnight.

February 8, 2008 at 12:33 am #653107What the heck does it matter when the license expires?
I’m guessing everyone here buys one every year anyway?
Am i missing something?

It means $18 in your pocket if you fish between March 1 and April 30th…and you die.
February 8, 2008 at 2:39 am #653143The reason behind the change in date is so that the license doesn’t expire in the middle of the ice fishing season (or towards the end anyway). That way people don’t have to mess around during ice fishing and renew their license, or those who forgot and got pinched.
Pushing it back to April/May between seasons makes for a nice break-point. This year will be the only year it’s extended. It will be a normal 12 month license starting this May as it always has. They had to add two months this year for the changeover.
