What’s everyones opinion on the selection of Superbowl commercials? My thought is it’s a sad day when the highlight is a baby barfing on a computer keyboard!!!!! E*Trade

Sounds like I didn’t miss anything on that one Jim. No favorites here.
February 4, 2008 at 4:08 am #651167Come on, I thought that one was cute. How about the lame California milk commercial?
February 4, 2008 at 4:11 am #651172I liked the Budweiser commercials. The one where the guy thought he was flying and got hit by a jet, and the one with the caveman, both got a laugh out of me..
February 4, 2008 at 4:13 am #651173“Hank” and the Rocky theme had me chuckling til the end of the commercial. Had me believeing he was going to do something spectacular. The commercials the last few years aren’t like they were in years past. Budweiser/Bud Light carry the crown for Superbowl commercials.
February 4, 2008 at 4:20 am #651176I almost fell of the couch during the tire commercial where the guy put the pedal to the metal when he saw Richard Simmons. Now that was funny!
February 4, 2008 at 4:43 am #651189I think the regular everyday commercials are better than the “Super Bowl” commercials this year.
February 4, 2008 at 5:12 am #651213I’d rather have seen highlites from the ultra boring Petty half time show. The commercials this year blew IMO. At least the main event kept everyone involved to the very last play.
fishbizbobPosts: 198February 4, 2008 at 5:19 am #651217my favorite was the tow truck guy who attachs the jumper cable to his nipples and drinks some sort of energy drink and then is able to jump her car
The barfing baby from Etrade was a very close second
Excellent Game though, although I didn’t care who won since the Bears & The Pack weren’t there.

What’s this? Do we have two Bears/Packers fans on the site? How strange would that be?February 4, 2008 at 9:17 am #651240Ok this isnt a commercial but this is my highlight, and the story behind it. At the start of the game fox had that stupid robot in the lower left of the screen doing his usual bit ( i hate this btw) so as i am watching it happen i turned to my buddy and said ” wouldnt it be nice if fox would just show that thing exploding or something” and then as an afterthought i said : or maybe have the terminator kick his ” and as they were going to commercial at the end of the quarter what did i see but the stupid robot dancing and all of a sudden out pops the terminator and proceeds to It happened again in the second half . Talk about Psychic. I have witnesses
February 4, 2008 at 12:55 pm #651260There is something about alcoholic cavemen that make me laugh
I thought Petty rocked at halftime.Heres a blue collar guy that has always came in and did his job without alot of stage “bells and whistles”. Reminded me alot of the NY Giants
As for the game-one of the best all time!
February 4, 2008 at 1:20 pm #651267I thought the Diet Pepsi Max commerical to the tune of “night at the roxbury” was hilarious
February 4, 2008 at 2:30 pm #651300I thought the Doritos Commercial with the Mouse trap was one of the funniest I have seen in a few years. I believe it was during the actual game and not a half.
February 4, 2008 at 3:42 pm #651330I thought it was a pretty good crop of commercials this year. The ETrade baby with the ‘disturbing clown” was pretty good, too.
A lot better year than most we’ve had lately.
February 4, 2008 at 7:15 pm #651440I can say this year didn’t do much for me on commercials and most of the game, the last 9 minuets of the game was the best. watching brady be all cocky and get handed his by a manning, classic.

February 5, 2008 at 12:50 am #651564I walked into the living room a couple times…the FW was watching the Puppy Bowl…both times.
I don’t know how she does it.
February 5, 2008 at 3:15 am #651610I thought a few of them were pretty good…I got a chuckle from the farting lizard in the “thriller” dance, “did I really see that”? It blended in well, wife missed it. I liked the etrade and bud/rocky themed commercials as well.

February 5, 2008 at 4:37 am #651641Hank the budweiser clydesdale is my hero
And Tom Petty still rocks, no matter what anyone says. Definetly better than having the next make me sick britney spears wanna be can’t sing person performing.
February 5, 2008 at 5:14 am #651650I thought the commercials were some of the best in a while. The halftime performance was amazing though. Simple but very good, most of the time they are so confusing, this was just plain good music, even over the TV it was good.
February 6, 2008 at 4:23 am #652012How about the budweiser one where the guys are at the wine and cheese party with the wives and he has to go on a “cheese run”!!
