Is it safe to assume that:
1% = 5 Gallons (500 Gallon Tank)
Earlier this fall my tank went from 85% to 10% and they filled it back to 85% of which that took approx 375 Gallons.
Today my tank was at 60% and they filled it to 85% but told me it took 177 Gallons.
Based upon the calculation above that I agree with I would assume that filling from 60% to 85% should only take 125 Gallons (25*5) based up 25% additional fuel added.
What am I missing? Does pressure somehow not correlate as well the fuller the tank thus making 1% = 5 Gallons not legitimate?
Thanks,
Mike
