Just got back from the Northwest Angle of three days of fishing. I know there was some question about chubby darters and results people are having. We have sold hundreds at our store and I decided I better give them a fair chance this weekend. Let me tell you I have never had as much fun catching fish with any lure as I did with the Chubby Darters this past week. I have never seen walleyes smack a bait like they did for us. We had to do surgery on a nice 17″ because it inhaled the bait so deep.It ended up as dinner that night. We caught walleyes, Saugers, Perch and had several Nothern attack them. I was very pleased with the results and would advise anyone to try them. However,when the fish were less aggressive the best method was a small gold jig and minnow on a slip bobber rig.The best color of Darters seemed to be those with some gold in them. The vking color seemed to be the best in a #4 size.Good Luck Fishing!!
