I had to do the toughest thing I have ever had to do in my life today. I put my close friend and companion down after 12 of the best years a dog and her human companion could have together. She was suffering from kidney failure and was declining fast. You could see it in her eyes that she just was not comfortable any longer. She went very quietly and is in, I believe a better place. A place where there is no pain and she can play all day.
Even though I know I did the right thing, it still sucks and hurts.
Say a prayer for my friend tonight.
