I enjoyed seeing the NY football Giants beat up the Boys. Watching it in the shack, sipping a few Hamms and chasing flags made my day.

Joe, sounds like a wonderful way to spend the day! Other feller, I don’t think Green Bay is in any immediate danger of suddenly falling apart if Brett hangs it up. Rodgers is a talented young man, no disputing that.
Back to the Cowboys I have to post a link to my favorite picture of the weep, err, week.
January 14, 2008 at 5:27 pm #643151I didn’t say they would fall apart, you like putting words in peoples mouths…
I don’t think the people of WI will be buying their new wardrobe because of him though.
January 14, 2008 at 6:07 pm #643171There is nothing quite as sweet as watching the ‘boys lose. That look of Jerry Jones, arms crossed on the sideline, staring straight ahead at nothing was priceless!!!
It immediately made me think that someone’s gonna pay for that loss! Coaches or players, just not sure who.

Easy guy. I’m not putting words in anyones mouth, lol. But many would say a Super Bowl one year and none for many years afterwards is a fall from the top. Call it what you want I guess.January 14, 2008 at 6:29 pm #643182I wonder if Jessica ordered Buffalo wings while she was down there? (Mexico)
January 14, 2008 at 6:48 pm #643193I guess if I accept the definition of falling apart as
Quote:
Super Bowl one year and none for many years afterwards
(widely accepted, I’m sure) that you have now reworded into

fall from the top
from your previous posting of then, you didn’t put words in my mouth, I apologize.

Is there another team that the owner stands right next to the coach during the game? I would love to see Phillips tell him to go sit his arse back in the owner’s box.

No one coaches as well as Jerry Jones thinks he can.
I’d bet dollars to donuts, that’s one of the main reasons why Parcells left Dallas.

I kinda felt bad for Romo, but what does that say about his confidence levels, going to Mexico with Jessica Simpson right before the biggest game of the year???
If he’s that confident, well..There ya go.
What a game <img src=”http://www.in-depthangling.com/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif” alt=”” />
Didn’t you jump into a football post a few weeks ago calling them pointless? Here ya go starting one…

Dude, the other thread got closed for arguing. If all you’re looking for is to argue then use my PM feature, I’m happy to oblige there. Good day.January 14, 2008 at 7:34 pm #643221Quote:

It didn’t get closed because of arguing. It got closed because a couple people can’t handle the fire and started with personal attacks.
January 14, 2008 at 8:25 pm #643264Riverratt,
I see where you’re coming from, and my posts are really in jest, honest. I really enjoy the back and forth with the Packer fans ( and even YOU!!!), it’s just good natured fun.
However,
If you’re going to reply to me or my posts in the way you did, don’t expect me not to post back ON THE BOARD to defend myself or my logic. It’s nothing personal, it’s just the way I am.
January 14, 2008 at 11:40 pm #643387I finally had a chance to watch the video of T.O. and his little charade. What a loser. “He my quarterback. He throw me the ball. I run fast. People chase me. It isn’t fair man, it isn’t fair.” I think it went something like that.
Whatever. I hope he doesn’t let this bother him to the point he needs to be revived again. And people actually stand up for him trying to convince us he is sensitive? Mooch I used to have a ton of respect for. Not as much now. He maybe knew a different T.O. I don’t know. I do know the one I see week in and week out is as selfish and self centered as it gets. Pass the Kleenex.
January 15, 2008 at 8:12 pm #643778TO is lost emotionally but I will say I’ve never seen an athlete twice come back from what should have been a season ending injury to play in big games. He did it with the Eagles and the Superbowl(and played well) and he did it again this year.
For all his c-r-a-p, he does rehab himself like no-one I’ve seen.ET
January 16, 2008 at 3:57 am #643940I agree. Physically Owens is almost a freak of nature. He doesn’t posses the natural talent many receivers do, instead he works himself to death to be as good as he is. The downfall is he is also a serious mental headcase. Just look back on his long string of media related stunts. The Cowboys can have him. I’m glad he is sticking up for his QB now because next year at this time, if he stays healthy as usual, and they lose again his “team” will be the problem. That shouldn’t surprise anyone, it is what he does.
We don’t take football anymore serious, I don’t believe, than opening weekend of fishing. The difference is fishing isn’t competitive on a scale as large as the NFL. One or two football discussions here and there amongst friends is good. Believe me is this site enforced a strict, fishing only, discussion policy the members and posts would more than drop in half. Seen it many times on other forums. That said, happy football everyone!
January 16, 2008 at 4:08 am #643952Well said Ratt! There’s some serious emotion on this site regarding all sorts of fishing issues (what sized fish should be kept vs. released; how close you can fish during winter, etc). Why can’t we have some back and forth on football? Disagreement and bantering are good, personal attacks should be left on the sideline.
Eric
January 16, 2008 at 4:59 am #643970Yeah, that is true. I hadn’t considered the elbowing about catch and release and so on. I think if the banter gets too strong IDO ought to buy the offending parties a beverage, or two. Wait no, that will only encourage it. Well, we could try it and see!

Great point, Eric.
Disagreement and bantering are no problem and even invited. But whether it’s about fishing or football, the personal attacks aren’t welcome here. Like you said, we need to leave that stuff on the sidelines.
You guys can rest assured, we don’t have any intention of limiting the football talk. But we will limit the personal attacks and insults, and the people who continue doing the attacking and insulting.
January 16, 2008 at 5:55 pm #644096Wade, you’re confusing me. Are we or are we not getting free beverages?

Brian, I left the drinks with Dean at Everts Resort. If they’re not still there when you get there, you might want to have a sit down with Dean about that. For those who don’t drink, you’ll have to settle for cookies.
January 16, 2008 at 8:28 pm #644133I believe Randy. His run ins had to do w/ clashing w/ authority or smoking pot, he was NEVER accused of roughing up a man or a woman.
I could be wrong, but I have to think that something like this would have arisen prior to today if it was true.

I guess you have forgotten why Randy lost his scholarship to Notre Dame. He put a beat down on a white kid who ended up in the hospital. I think he may even been in a comma? Anyway Moss plead guilty to battery and because he was the big home town star he got a slap on the wrist. It was a long time ago, but you can’t say never.
January 16, 2008 at 9:05 pm #644141Ratt needs a whole case, btw. For a packer fan with a bears avatar he’s taken enough abuse. Blatz outta do it though.
January 16, 2008 at 9:33 pm #644151I wanna see more details before I even begin to assume or point fingers here…..to many gold diggin babes out there anymore for these super stars.
January 16, 2008 at 9:59 pm #644160I didn’t mean to make it sound like I assume he is guilty of beating this lady. My post was based on his comments.
Quote:
“For someone to make a false claim about me, I’m kind of furious,” he said. “It kind of hurts me deep inside for someone to do something like that because, you know, I’ve always said time and time again, I’m going to stand up for what’s right. If I’m right, I’m right. If I’m wrong, I’m wrong.”
What does he mean he is “kind of furious” or “kind of hurt”? Even better yet, “If I’m right, I’m right. If I’m wrong, I’m wrong.”
Do you think he stole that quote from Denny Green?
January 16, 2008 at 10:31 pm #644173Oh boy! Just another packer fan taking jabs at former Vikings. Oh the injustice of it all!!
Remember, Denny Green took the high road….right outta town!
