WOW what a game. Giants to Lambeau!!!

I kinda felt bad for Romo, but what does that say about his confidence levels, going to Mexico with Jessica Simpson right before the biggest game of the year???

If he’s that confident, well..There ya go.

    What a game

Funny how a guy going to mexico, can stir so much up… I go too. Can’t he have a life outside of football… are you saying they lost, because he had some bad shrimp ? I would say the dropped passes (Crayton) had a little to do with it… GB may have a chance at home against the Giants.. but either way, the Pats stand in there way from anything further…

I didn’t say they lost because of his little expedition, I’m saying that he obviously was very confident going into the game- perhaps too confident, and it maybe took its toll on the way he played individually. also.. you Can’t blame the recievers for a 14 yard loss sack

This post actually never even mentioned the packers, feel free to discuss them, But I was talking about the Giants overcoming the Cowboys which is a feat of its own.

OH, I will pretend, that I don’t know you drink the Green kool-aid…

It couldn’t have been scripted any better for the Pack next week… but again, Tom Brady waits….

Someday you’ll understand Cade. A weekend in Mexico with her, heck yes. Football is just a job for these guys now days. I see very few guys who play for pride anymore. The fans take more pride in their respective teams than most players.

So, congrats to the Giants and Chargers for upseting the home teams today. I think the SB will be GB & the Pats. The Pack looked as tough as I’ve seen them all year. However, I still don’t see the Pats getting beat.

Alright..Fine. We’ll totally disregard the trip to mexico then. It didn’t matter at all and had nothing to do with his confidence levels….

Then what was it that made him play not-so-well tonight??? There were some very good passes that were just dropped and that was ugly on the receiving end, but then you take a look at all his over throws, and a couple times where he should have thrown it away but got sacked BIG.. throw in a grounding penalty and things got ugly. you could see it in his eyes, on his face, things were not going well for him.

Taking away from the negative and putting back some actual positive input..Manning had some great stats. And their defense was very nice.

As long as a NON PACKER fan (funny how they hang around the winners circle though) started the talk in here already allow me to say yee ha! The NFC road to the Super Bowl goes through Green Bay!

I agree, and have for a long time, that the Pats will likely win the SB. But don’t for a second think they cannot be beat. Twice this season they won by pure luck and odd circumstances. Both the Ravens and the Colts, not to mention the Giants, had every right to make them a 13-3 or 12-4 team. They found a way sure. But they are not invincible. For Green Bay or the Giants to beat the Pats in the SB, assuming they beat up a badly injured Chargers team, a perfect game will have to be played. It may be hard but not impossible!

Bye Bye Dallas, see you next year. I’m sure you will be back stronger than ever too!

I don’t think 2 days in Cabo had any weight on the game, he wasn’t alone on a lovers getaway, he was with her family and some of his teamates. Actually, Cabo isn’t far at all from Dallas, not like they went half way across the world, short plane ride.

I think you answered that yourself…

He was pressured all night, knocked down, rushed and sacked. He’s human just like anyone else, so he took some sacks, better than throwing a pick, should he have dumped the ball, sure…he was just trying to make things happen and they just weren’t there.

They lost…The GIANTS were a better team tonight, that’s why they lost. NOT because of Cabo and or Jessica Simpson.

Throw in the fact Dallas looked terrible the last 3-4 weeks, this one doesn’t surprise me too much. The chargers surprised me. Great games today!!

I don’t see the Giants or the Chargers giving us much to watch next weekend. The Pack played nearly perfectly on offense yesterday, not sure they have another one of those games in there bag of tricks this year, but I think they will need it to beat the Pats. The Pats have played this way nearly every game, all year long.

Simpson had absolutely nothing to do with the Boys losing. That’s really none sense talking if you ask me. Look back, the Cowboys haven’t played the same sine the Green Bay game. They won, sure, but they were on the ropes in everygame since then. The fact that it took this long for them to lose was a surprise to me. I actually started to root for the Boys at the end of the game, I’d almost rather the Pack go there and play than have the red hot Giants come to Lambeau.

I do think the Packers can take the Giants though, Will they? Won’t know for a week. Can anyone take the Pats? Sure they can. Will it happen is a completely different question. The Packers have one of the best set of corners in the league and the safeties are really coming into their own. Will it be enough if they meet up? I hope so, but I ain’t holding my breath.

I agree, and I never said Jessica or Mexico specifically caused him to play badly, but the fact that he took the opportunity rather than perhaps going the extra mile and watching film, practicing, etc. maybe shows that he sort of took lightly of the Giants..That’s all..Maybe some don’t understand my way of thinking here, but I’m entitled to my opinion right? Everyone else gets to have theirs…”the packers are going to lose in the super bowl, Brady is the best ever, Romo is better than Favre yada yada yada (chargers would lose, Giants would lose )” Maybe I’m the minority in my thinking, but that’s just going to have to be too bad I guess.

The Pat’s are definately a dominant team. Talk about a dissapointment if/when they make it to the Superbowl (a great accomplishment) and lose? I don’t think they will get beat, but anything can happen.

Great news for the Pack. A Championship game in Green Bay.

I see Big G and Kooty have moved on to your post.

As for Tony Romo he is no Tom Brady or Brett Favre for that matter. So many times he got out of the box and had a chance to make plays, seldom did he.

Well can I ask you this… Would you go to mexico a few days before you are to take the first step on closing the deal on a Million dolar pay day or would you wait, ink the deal, then go. It is only a few weeks.

I’m NOT trying to say you can’t have an opinion Cade, I enjoy talking real football. I thought I saw a short clip tonight where Phillips sent all the players away for some R&R. Maybe they should have been there watching film like you say!! Maybe he was just covering for Romo?? Don’t know. I agree with you, Dallas didn’t look ready for the NY D line tonight. Sorry for thinking into the future.

cade you are right to think as you have. My comments are aimed at the naysayers in the media. I think many of them are jealous that Romo, a goofy looking kid from Cheeseland, got to go to Mexico with Simpson. I know I am, lol. But he is a professional. Many professionals take vacations before, during, to make, and after, huge business deals. If they are able to morally do so with a gorgeous friend along, all the more power to them. At the end of today Romo has more money and hotter legs to go home to than I and many others do. He should be making fun of us!

no offense, but thinking into the future was what got all of “us” Packer fans into deep doo-doo…

If packer fans should not be allowed to predict the future based on their own formed opinions..
Then why is it Ok for someone who does not particularly care for the packers or its fans, to predict the future?

I’m just calling it out like I see it.

Cade you and FR have beat me down. I was here, in this post, to talk football, not the crap in the other thread. You boys have fun, I’m done with football on IDA. I’ll go find another site if I want to talk football.

Please re-read Cade’s original post, which basically said, Wow the Giants are on to Lambeau Field.

Regarding what came next it is clear to me that the guy was happy about the results of the NY/Dallas game and the fact the NFL Championship will be in Green Day.

The Romo stuff, clearly secondary, but it seems everyone has gotten fired up about that. Why???

Between this and the Favre MVP post, it is amazing to me how many people are hanging out on this site talking football during the weekend. Try stepping away for the computer for a few minutes.

Someone may have posted this already, but Romo didn’t really have a bad game. As Aikman said, maybe some of his WR should have gone of vacation and maybe they would have been able to hang on to the ball a little better.

I would also like to thank a couple posts for starting my day off with a good laugh. Dog IQ test is great comedy. Maybe the next post can be about the deep conversation between dog and owner at dinner every night.

    The Stars are Aligning…

    Here’s my prediction:
San Diego pulls the upset of the playoffs and off the Patriots…

Favre doens’t give away any cheap sacks to Strahan, Eli manning chokes like everybody knows he will…

    AND…

Green Bay Packers cruise to the Superbowl Championship

As much as I hate to, I’m going to congratulate the Packers and their fans right here and now, they deserve it…good job!!!

Save up your money because if Favre retires after this Superbowl victory, the Superbowl Championship attire may be the last you purchase for a while…
