I was down on pool 4 yesterday 11/18. Enjonying catching my first 3 walleyes on my brand new St.croix legend tourny 6’8″ MXF with a brand new Abu Garcia cardnial reel. I was pretty close to the dam on the west side of the river. When my line got tied up in my trolling motor. In the process of trying to get the line out. T he current started to push my boat toward the rocks. So I decided quickly to put the motor down and snap the line, well in the process I hit my knee on the power switch and my pole proceeded to flip out of the boat and sink right before my saddend eyes . I tried to grab it but no luck it sunk very fast. So for the next hour we tried to pull it from the bottom with no luck.
This was my first time out since my new baby boy was born very premature. My wife and myself had a 2 plus month stay in the hospital. So yesterday after things have finally started to get back to normal, wife and baby being healthy and happy. Fishing the dam was something very relaxing for myself to get out and do something I love. So if any of you may happen to pull a very nice setup out of the river please let me know. Thanks for reading my story it still bums me out.
