Madden is annoying. He must be paid by the word, not by the job.

Hey honda great for the Bears, but aren’t they in last place in the division? I mean the Vikings beat the Bears in Chicago, The Packers beat the Vikings in the dome, The Lions beat you twice and I wouldnt be surprized if the Vikings beat the Packers this week in Lambeau. Divisional games are always very tough, that brings me back to my original point- Aren’t the Bears in last place?

speaking of old Favre, the last 6 TD’s the Packers have scored have averaged 60 yards. That is nuts- Bring on the cover two to take away our short game and we will burn you long…..

He certainly is well on his way, it will be interesting to watch a physical Green Bay D versus physical AP….

Eight games is a little early to call him great. He sure had a great performance. Imagine if Childress didn’t hold him out in previous games. He probably would have rushed for 2000 yards this year.

I thought you were talking about adding to his INT record.

Also, why did it take him so long? Manning and Brady already did it in 1/2 the time. No those are some GREAT QBs.

Hey Dave read the post about 5 above yours, lets see what Manning and Brady are doing at 38, right now Favre is having the greatest season at the oldest age of any of the greats and as always I have the numbers to prove it, he could possibly win an unprecedented 4 MVP if he continues to play at his current level, the amount of time to beat every team in the NFL is irrelevant because Favre hadn’t played in KC since 96′.

The most important victory against the Chiefs for any Packer team was not yesterday- Free beer and food for the first guy to name the game at Apple River campground this Saturday night (about 12 miles south of Lambeau on HWY41). Hint: a football star who recently passed played a huge factor in this game on a hangover because he thought he wasn’t gonna play- legendary…..

There are a lot of QBs who had seasons as good if not better than Favre at 38.

They didnt have as many interceptions either.

Looks like DaveB is going to give us some stats on 38 y/o quarterbacks who have acheived as many milestones as Bret. That is what this post is about right?

OK so maybe that’s tough trivia. Here’s another gimme since the Packers have been picking on the incredible- crown there arse if you want crown them AFC. Back in super bowl XXXI old Favre threw a TD to what player in the first quater and set the tone for the game, that play still stands as the longest throw for a TD in Super Bowl history. Name the player that caught that pass. I see a bad moon rising over this post Free beer anyone? all you gotta do is show up!!!

After reading the title I thought this was a thread on AP (296 yards, all time single game record).

The answer is obvious and easy, but I won’t be at Apple River so will keep it quite for now. Actually the now deceased player caught two TD’s that day, after catching either one or none the entire year.

“AP” had one good game? He’s busted over 200 twice this season and has over 1,000 yards half way through the season. As a rookie, that alone deserves initials. But I bet you wouldn’t want AP on your team right?

It’s funny that you guys already call him ap. He had one great game, big deal. He is’nt worthy of initials at this point. You should wait and see how he does the rest of the season.

Actually his nickname is AD it stands for ALL DAY he’s the best running back in the NFL right now as a rookie.
The future of the Packers after Favre retires is dismal to say the least can you say 70’s/80’s…..LOL.

Hahahhahahaa, I’m sure you do. Cause that’s the balance of a great team. A passing game and no running game. Genius, pure genius.

AP, AP, AP, AP, AP, AP, AP, AP, AP, AP, AP, AP, AP, AP, AP, AP, AP.

Wow, that was some nice sweet lemons rationalization there. “I am glad we have no running game”…LOL

By the way, how many single games records has Favre set in his career?

    targa,
i enjoy your enthusiasm but keep your words soft and sweet. There are a couple of teams in the AFC that are way better than the Pack. Does New England or Indy ring a bell?
This upcoming game worries me a ton. Playing at Lambeau where they haven’t been good lately. Bollinger managing the game and Peterson. it will be close like they always are…

Friendly banter is right. The vikes are not much fun to watch right now. I was hunting all day yesterday and missed the only decent game of the year. oh well, not that sad really. AP is a stud. And BF is average Nah, he’s doing much better than a lot of people thought he would at the beginning of the season. Looks like the Pack and Lions will pound it out for the title and probly the wild card.

I hope you don’t think I am taking it serious. I am having fun with it. And I watched about maybe 15 minutes of the game…and that was when it was in the background.

    AP!

Actually I am staying at Apple Creek campground, exit county rd. U north maybe a half a mile, OK here are the answers. Max Magee in Super Bowl I and Andre “Bad Moon” Rison in SB XXI. I wouldn’t necessarily throw the Packer’s in the gudder of the 70’s and 80’s if they lose Favre, this team is very young and improving, especially in the trenches were games are won and lost…

Yeah Look at the Vikings they have it figured out A running game ( if the coach allows it) and no passing game! Wait that’s like basically the same thing. At least my Bears have it figured out. If your going to suck at one you may as well suck at the other. helps with the draft pick anyways.

I really dont think any of us will have issue with from now on calling old Favre “The greater one”. Or just “Greatest”
