So I feel like I need to tell more folks, so you are the lucky group.

20 weeks ago my wife and I found out that we were expecting our 1st child. Well we had decided that we were going to find out the sex of our new addition. I needed to know if I should be spending my money on cheer leading outfits for my favorite sports teams or jerseys! Well Today we had our “big” ultra sound.

The nurse lubes my wifes belly up and puts the camera on the belly. Wouldn’tyou know it the 1st image we get in 10 weeks of our child is . My wife just looks at me and says it has to be a boy and it has to be taking after you. little did we know that the kid had NO desire to show us any part of it. “Must not be my child. My kid would be proud and show every one what it’s got I said.” after about 10 minutes of the nurse doing other stuff my wife feels the little one move. The Nurse decides to make one last attempt to find out. Wouldn’t you know it the kid decides to play peek-a-boo rapidly opening and closing it’s legs. I think the nurse tried to take about 10 pictures, when HE decided to show us what he had!

This coming March I will have a new hunting, and fishing partner, and some one to share my obsession with any thing sports related. ( I kind of feel sorry for the wife! )

Just had to share. I’m not sure if you can ever tell enough people when you find this out.

Happy for you. The adventures begin.
Now that you know you have a partner,,,,start buying stock in food companies. It’s the only way to hedge on the coming food bills.
I have a 12 year old partner that is 5′ 8″ and two freezers are not enough.

Congratulations!!! It will definitely be an adventure. My advice to you is start him early. I never read my boy fairy tales I read him In-Fisherman and cartoons were replaced with fishing shows. I remember changing his diaper on the old Lund seat. I don’t know if any of that helped or not but I know I have a 17 year old hunting and fishing machine today. Enjoy the ride cause they grow up way too fast!

When mine was 16, he wore size 15 shoes. The biggest hose job was when we had to buy socks. About 5 times the price of regular sized stuff.

Congrats. If it will make your wife feel any better just tell her that if the baby would of been a girl that you still planned to turn the baby into a fishing addict. so….if she would of wanted to be able to spend more time with her [baby girl] she would of had to become a fishin addict herself.
    Thanks, Bill

Look on the bright side when we had ours they found two in there and both were hung like bears. Now I have no money, no time, and no sleep.. I wouldn’t trade them for all the money, time, and sleep in the world. Now I need a bigger house, boat and truck to pull it with but we can go catting with 9 freaking rods. I remember it well. The nurse said you better sit down. She broke the news and my wife let out a screetch like a hound from hell.

Thanks Guys I’m excited as I think I can possibly get who knew this I could gety more excited than I do on opener eve?

Man I thought I was a big kid. I’m 6’5″ 240 size 15 shoes. I’m hoping he doesn’t eat like me otherwise I could be in some seriouse trouble. My parents were happy when I got my 1st job and it was in a resturant as a cook.

Mom made the mistake one time when I was 12 though told me to act my age not my shoe size. I had size 13 then

I don’t even want to think about what would have happened if they would have found 2.

    Thanks again guy!

Oh we had already started that conversation… I was losing. Apparently if it was a girl she was going to have a new shopping partner I can only afford so much, I mean buying a few more rods, and reels, and takcle, and hunting gear I can handle, but the small fourtune that get’s spent while I’m using all this doesn’t even compare!

    Congrats

The excitement last right up to the point where you are going to work for about the 3 week running on 3 hours of bad sleep a night I used to not drink coffee

I now tell the wife that in about 5 years she cannot say anything about my spending habits for fishing/hunting gear, since I am spending quality time with the boy

I have the BEST of both worlds….My daughter LOVES to go fishing with me, and my son LOVES to go hunting with me…

    can it get any better..

Then, daughter informs me last night she wants to take firearms training in two years….and the first time she goes hunting, it will be for BEAR!!!!!

Anyone who knows my daughter (the rattlesnake) knows this is fact!!!!

    Scared of nothing

KIDS (boys and girls) make the BEST hunting and fishing partners!!!!!
