This weekend we are going to see the first of possibly two games pitting the Patriots against the Colts. It is almost gauranteed they will meet again in the playoffs. These two teams are quite possibly the most complete football teams in NFL history. What they lack in one aspect of their make-up, they more than make up for in another. I believe that this game will be a “must-see” if you are any type of football fan. How about making your pick for the big game and maybe start some interesting discussion….

Its tough to beat a team on a roll like the Pats. They’ve somehow worked Randy’s ego into the mix without any negative results. With Stallworth and Maroney now healthy, Harrison back in the mix, I don’t see any weakness.
I know the Colts have Sanders on the D side of the ball but not overly impressed with the rest. Harrison has not been a factor to date. If he comes back for the playoffs and is effective, the colts could take a run at them.
Should be a good game!

The biggest thing about this game is it features two outstanding quarterbacks in a league that has few good quarterbacks anymore.
Will be a fun game to watch.

Sanders might be a good safety, but he is only 5’10″+/-. Moss is something like 6’7″. Not a very good match up for the Colts!
October 31, 2007 at 2:13 am #620867PATS all the way. too many great weapons and a very solid defence
bigpikePosts: 6259October 31, 2007 at 10:19 am #620912I’m throwing in with the Colts, not because I think they are better but because I think they are under apprieciated coming off a Super Bowl victory and they still have not lost a game. In other words they are still the best until someone physically proves it over them. Plus the Pats seem to be wanting to rub every teams noze in how good they are, the poor Pats are chippy. I hope they lose…..
October 31, 2007 at 12:10 pm #620945It matters not.
Either team will be crushed by the overwhelming greatness of Title Town and the Green Bay Packers.

I don’t know if you guys have heard, but Green Bay supposedly has this QB who they think is alright.
I also heard that Jon Madden even mentioned him once during a broadcast.
I also heard they used to have this coach, Vince Somebody, who they also enjoyed watching ply his trade I think they have some sort of an award named after him or something
FRIVERS2Posts: 240October 31, 2007 at 2:43 pm #621055I had to chuckle a bit at your reply. Frankly, Brett would make a better governor then the guy we have now, unless you enjoy words like higher taxes.
October 31, 2007 at 5:09 pm #621153Interesting fact about the super bowl. The Pats are the best time in the AFC, but do you want to be. How good was that Chargers team last year.
In 2000, NFC No. 1 N.Y. Giants lost to Baltimore, the AFC’s No. 4 seed
In 2001, NFC No. 1 St. Louis lost to New England, the AFC’s No. 2 seed
In 2004, NFC No. 1 Philly lost to New England, the AFC’s No. 1 seed
In 2005, NFC No. 1 Seattle lost to Pittsburgh, the AFC’s No. 6 seed
In 2006, NFC No. 1 Chicago lost to Indy, the AFC’s No. 3 seedI hope its Green Bay with the no1 seed in the NFC so we can lose to possible AFC Wild Card Team.
October 31, 2007 at 9:00 pm #621276The pats will win hands down. I would give the pats a 14 point spread at least.
FRIVERS2Posts: 240October 31, 2007 at 9:25 pm #621285Hard to disagree with you. I hate the word “if”, but should the Packers make the Super Bowl they would be hugh underdogs. And even that is a big “if”.
Ironically, before the season started us Packer Fans were only hoping for a winning record and a possible playoff experience.
Suffice it to say this season has been fun and their record unexpected.

There you have it………..all the reason you will ever need to root for the Colts.
November 1, 2007 at 3:58 pm #621601I don’t see this being a close game. I believe the Patriots will win by better than 20 points. While the Colts are 7-0 those wins came against lesser teams than the Pats. Indy has struggled in a couple games, the Pats haven’t. Only watching the game will tell for sure. I also HATE Indy so I say go Pats. I’d like to see it end up 56-3 Patriots.

I respectfully disagree. This game will draw one helluva national audience. To the NFL, this means they can jack up next years rates and significantly INCREASE REVENUES. THAT is what the game mostly means.
