got to work last Wednesday… called into the boss’s office (he wasn’t there… just the two dragon-ladies of the company)… I was given my walkin’ papers and escorted out of the place!

So, now I’m unemployed and looking for some work! Anyone have anything open for a guy with 20+ years experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Medical Device industry??? I refuse to move back out east or out to San Diego… I’ll never move out of God’s Country ever again…

but seriously, if you’re so inclined, please say a prayer for me and my family, that God will shine upon us and provide for us. I’m working on the details of setting up my own business(es) – a clinical pathology/analytical chemistry lab and a consulting services company. I have bills paid for through November but December might be a bit dicey…

Sorry to hear that, but hopefully it a blessing in disguise. Hopefully the business plans come together.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your job. One thing about unemployment is that it frees up lots of time to come up with new ways to make a living. A boat is a good place to come up with some of these ideas.

it is a tough go that is a fact, but you have quite a background and finding a good place to work (maybe your own place) is well worth it in the end.

    Hang in there

Thanks for all the support! You can always count on your fishing buddies! (probably why Jesus surrounded himself with them… ).

Well, I just got off the phone this morning with a previous employer… seems they have a need for some consulting help. God is good… They way things look right now, I might be nearly doubling my old income for the next couple of months! yeah, God is great!

Again, thanks for the kind thoughts…

    That’s great news for you.

Any chance you could help my sig. other? She’d love to find a job, not necessarily making twice what she made, but anything would help now…

    Glenn,
You are so correct sir! Congrats on your news
Having over 25 years experience in my field, and having been unemployed 3 times in the last ten years, totalling over 2 years out of work, I know where you’re coming from. It’s been 11 months next week that I’ve been back to work, and I haven’t been this happy in years. Again congrats on the good news.
