I’m just venting to make myself feel better….. Every year around this time I want to be bowhunting in the morning, grouse hunting later in the morning, pheasant hunting in the afternoon, trolling for piggy walleyes at night, and, of course, hunting piggy walleyes on the Mississippi. But work, school, family, money and responsibilities in general make darn sure I get out for only a few hours here and there to do one of those things…….. It is depressing.
    OK I’m done. Thanks…

Let Lip and Scott do your bowhunting.
I can shoot your grouse and pheasants.
James, Tuck, Calvin can do your trolling.
Dustin, Dean, Jon and Mike have the Mississippi under control.
Just work and take care of your family, we are here to help you get rid of these other burdens so you need not worry about them.
Now I just need directions to your hunting land up by mine.

October needs to be about 70 days long.

Man can I relate to that!! Sure enough, I got myself painted into a corner with a big remodeling project and now there’s no turning back. I figured I’d be done, or at least close by now but there’s just no way. I did pick up a couple new batteries for the boat so there is light at the end of the tunnel (unless it’s a train). I need some on the water therapy soon! I actually have a good friend who is a psychiatrist and even HE is telling me I need to get out.

Thankfully we can live vicariously through IDA to get through these dark times.

    Hey Ron!
You, Tuck, Lip and I got to get out there for some birds in the next couple of weeks. I did get out for a couple of hours Saturday and got rooster #1 for the year. I saw about a dozen hens and another 4 roosters. Daisy is working close and looks good! I’m gonna try and do some bird hunting out by Brooten this weekend (in-laws).

And how come every thread’s gotta turn into a cookie report? Geez Dean! There are other things to eat!

Still working on it. She’s real good with the frozen bird for treats; but doesn’t like the fluffy kind. She really hates those feathers. So I haven’t had a real in the field retrieve yet. Hopefully I’ll get some this weekend. Later sir!
