Welcome Jeff! You’ll like it here if you like talking fishing and especially if you have a good sense of humor. There are some real characters around here but we’re all pretty much harmless. Welcome sir and post all you want.
You will like it here as there are many many great guys and gals that love to talk fishing. Or at least you should be able to find someone other than Jack to hang out with
In addition, thanks to a good friend, Mr. Jack “CPR” (Catch, Photograph & Release) Naylor. Jack was the one who hooked me up with the MN Valley In-Fisherman Club and now, IDA!
Nothing tops a day on the water
I look forward to hearing and talking with all of you.
don’t let the BASS pic fool you, Jeff is mostly a Walleye fisherman, who is open and excited to learn some NEW Species…. Welcome again, Jeff. Get ready for Pool 4, Jack..
I am always open to new species and this time new waters.
MVIF has an outing early December on Pool 4, which I will participate. Almost all of my water time has been on the greater MN 10,000+ lakes. I am a total rookie to the flowing waters… but, want to learn.
Jeff, If you want to learn the river for walleyes you have definitely come to the right place. If you go to the Miss. River walleye forum and start going back and looking at old threads there is more river walleye wisdom buried there than you’ll find in any magazine—of course you have to wade through the BS to get to it Also James has a video about river walleye fishing that is second to none when it comes to learning to catch walleye on the river pitching plastics. I’ll give you the secret to learning the river right now though so you won’t have to search any further. Here it is—-ready—-time on the water. Every day on the water I learn something and I think I am getting better all the time—the bad part about that is I started so late that by the time I’m actually good I’ll be too old to use all that knowledge. Oh well, it’s the journey not the destination. Welcome again. Rich
