Anyone that wants or are up here..Thursday we want to have a perch fest and fry at Hunter’s Point Resort. We know many of the IDA Staff will be up here testing their skills with these moonlight walleye. But truth be told, the perch bite is nothing short of fantastic right now! Jason Bongers says that if there are enough people interested, he will even bring out George’s big pontoon! We have the fish confined to a very short area right now, and we will wait to divulge the location until we meet at Hunter’s Thursday morning at 11:00 AM. We will return and clean fish by 4:00 and have a fish fry at Hunter’s before heading out for the moonlight bite!
    How many are interested???

I got a bad cold from fishing in the rain all weekend but if I start to feel better by tommorow, I think I may be able to swing it.

1/16th ounce jigs with any kind of rubber skirt or twister tail would get you fish. Minnows too. No bobbers for us, just pitch and retrieve..really easy! Had a high 30″‘s pike try for a perch while I reeled it into the boat. He missed the first time, but NAILED it the second! Broke me off after a brief tussle.

If a few folks have electric filet knives, please bring them. We only have one…and it will be plenty busy!

No… he is catching Pike… using Perch as bait. Tuck seems to be good at that.

Was Bongers taking everyone out on a pontoon supposed to be a selling point? Have you seen his boat lately?

Wish I could go, but I’m stuck working a show in WI all week. Good Luck!
