I have a 50 inch HDTV but haven’t got the HD receiver yet. Is it worth it?? I have Direct TV. $100 for the receiver and $10 a month for lease/programming… My bill is already outrageous.

    Thanks for any feedback..

Don’t forget the 2 year contract that comes with that HD reciever…

Tough call, like you said they are already brutally gouging us whats a few more bucks a
    month at this point…

I’m not too worried about the 2 year deal. I think I have the life membership anyway..

I’m just wondering if its “wow” thing or a “little better” thing…

If you are not in a contract right now, you might be able to get the receiver free.

Give them a call, and ask about any specials. Tell them you heard good things about HD cable, and see what they say.

When I canceled my Sunday Ticket they offered me a free HD DVR.

Get the HD package for sure ! They just added 20 more HD channels first part of Oct. and they say 100 more by the end of the year. With HD you can pick out the little fuzzy threads on a flannel shirt ! Regular TV compared to HD…well…if you wear glasses and can’t find them, that’s the difference.

Definately a WOW, you’ll find yourself watching only HD programming after you get it.
