    Hi Jeremy,

Navionics is the same as “hot maps”.

This chip covers a six state region. (North Region)

The Lakemaster Pro Map chips are more state specific

with the exception of LOTW and Devils Lake ND.

    Lakemaster Promaps

Navionics will cost you more but you do get more info.

Navionics offers a Trade In program, Lakemaster does not.

You can zoom in closer with the Lakemaster chip than with

the Navionics which can really help find those fish holding

    areas.

I can’t remember what the zoom difference was between the two.

I sold my Navionics chip awhile ago.

If you can swing it buy one of each!!

    Good Luck,

    Dan

Navionics chips have Hotmaps surveyed lakes. The Hotmap lakes are generally 3 foot contours. The lakes on the Navionics chip that were surveyed by Navionics are 1 foot contours. (Like Mille Lacs an many others)

The 2007 Navionics Premium chip has almost 200 lakes across the midwest that ARE 1′ contours.
you can go on the navionics web site and get a lake readout of all the lakes, state by state.
    Jack.
